Sometimes, surface boundaries are so strongly defined they show up in satellite imagery at night despite a lack of clouds. This loop of GOES 16 infrared imagery (10.3 micron / channel 13) shows 3 boundaries between 9 PM 6/8 and 2 AM 6/9 (CDT). #1 – a cold front surging south across eastern CO was responsible for 20 F to 30 F temperature falls in a span of 2 hours, along with wind gusts in excess of 60 mph.
